Hello back!
If you are just starting to sew, this is an ideal project for you!. It's super simple and you just need some basic materials. Making a pin cushion is like making a mini-pillow, and once you master it, you are all set to making a wide variety of things: from Barbie pillows - my daughters love them- to real cushions to decorate your couch.
All you need is a piece of fabric and some poly filling.

First, you need to cut your fabric into two rectangles, mine are 3.5' x 5.5' since I'm making a small pin cushion. Pin the fabric pieces right side in and sew around the edges leaving an opening in one of the small sides.
Turn the inside out and fill it with your filling and sew around the opening. That's it! Your first project is done!
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask me, I'm more than happy to help!
See you in the next stitch!
Happy Sewing!
